Why do I love thrusting and mish?

Dear Dr Milrod:

What is it about “thrusting” during sex that I find more satisfying than the orgasm?   And I don’t mean some “animalistic behavior.”   I really only like sex in missionary and embracing my woman while making long slow thrusts.  I really try hard to fight off the orgasm until I know the woman has had enough.  Is there some caveman DNA at work here or what?  Other positions are less enjoyable for me, especially where I do not control the thrusting.  I am passionate for the embrace of missionary and the slow in and out motion.

Dear Wabbit:

Not so strange and not necessarily so evolutionary either or DNA-oriented per se. Thrusting is what gives you the friction, which provides the GOOD feeling, in preparation for orgasm. Positions are like people – varied and somewhat unique. A leg lift here, an arm there, and voilá, something nice and new that can make all the difference. Or not. When Kinsey did his monumental research, he found that there were a couple of positions that were the most popular, with missionary among them. It is the position which is most frequently used in the United States, Japan and some South American countries. So going by this, you are merely fulfilling your cultural imperative – if such an imperative exists. So just thrust away, be merry and enjoy the motions!
